Delicious “Cheesy” Kale Chips
As a mother I am constantly trying to find delicious “good for you” snacks for my self and my children to eat. This can be difficult, but I can gaurentee that you and your kids will love this Kale Chip recipe. There is a special ingredient to these Kale Chips that make them better then any others you may have came across and this ingredient also has some amazing health benefits.
This awesome ingredient is call Nutritional Yeast. Yeah, I know that doesn’t sound very appetizing at all, but trust me you will love it. Nutritional Yeast adds a cheesy and nutty flavor to foods. It contains B Vitamins, its low sodium, and contains minerals like iron, selenium and zinc. All you do is sprinkle it on top of your food like popcorn or salads and Kale!
Here’s a link to the Nutritional Yeast that I use.
So lets get into this easy recipe and please comment below on how yours turned out and if you loved it as much as I do!
Yields: 2-3 servings
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 Bunch of Kale with stems removed (about 5 ounces)
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1/3 Cup Nutritional Yeast
Salt and Pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Wash kale and then pat it dry with a paper towel. Then put the kale and olive oil into a bowl and toss until its coated. Sprinkle with the nutritional yeast, add salt and pepper, then mix with your hands or a wooden spoon or spatula to evenly distribute.
place the kale on a large baking sheet evenly spread out making sure not to overlap the pieces, this will help it get nice and crispy.
Bake on the center rack of the oven for 10 – 15 minutes.
Enjoy. Try not to eat it all in one sitting, but I’ll understand if you do.
