Creamed Eggs

If your wanting something a little different for breakfast, you have to try this recipe for creamed eggs. I came across this recipe when I was a newlywed and made it constantly. It is one of my husbands favorite breakfast meals. Its also an easy breakfast to make for multiple people. The only part that takes a little is waiting for it to boil, but it is totally worth the wait. The recipe and instructions are below, please let me know how you liked it or any modifications you might have made to make it even better. (maybe add bacon)

Ingredients:

8 hard-boiled eggs, peeled

3 Tablespoons butter

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups of milk

2 teaspoons cicken bouillon granules (I use 2 cubes)

and you will need Toast to put the creamed eggs on top of!

Directions:

First you will need to separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Chop the egg whites and put aside, then in a separate bowl mash the egg yolks.

In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Then stir in flour until smooth.

Gradually mix in the milk and the chicken bouillon so that there are no lumps formed and stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil. This will take some time, try not to be tempted to turn the temperature up on the stove or you may find your self burning the cream mixture.

Once it starts to boil, you can add in the egg yolks and mix until the yolks have dissolved. It may not completely dissolve, but most of it should. Once the egg yolks have dissolved you can add in the egg whites. Then sprinkle with some salt and pepper and stir. cook for 2 or 3 minutes and then remove off the burner.

Your creamed eggs are all done, now all you have to do is put some toast on a plate and spoon the creamed eggs all over it and enjoy. I hope you enjoy this as much as we do. Like and subscribe to get more recipes as I post them.
